Blythewood Betty Jean Watts, 88, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Dunbar Funeral Home Northeast Chapel with the Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service in Wright Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 pm prior to the service. Born in Winston Salem, NC, she was a daughter of the late James Albert and Josephine Proctor Wright. Betty enjoyed shopping at Sam’s Club. She was retired from Allied Signal. She is survived by a sister, EllaFair Harman of Lexington; several nieces and nephews and Julie and Austin Watts whom she thought of as family. Austin was her pride and joy. She was predeceased by her husband; Richard Watts, Sr. and sons; Gene Watts and Richard Watts, Jr. The family wishes to thank Ismael and Pamela Garnica and family and Palmetto Health Hospice for their loving care.
