Bobby Ouzounidis

Haralambos "Bobby" Ouzounidis, born on January 22, 1955, in Agios Lucas, Greece passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Theodosia "Soula" Ouzounidis and a cherished father to Effie Holden (Ryan), Joanna Ouzounidis, and Koolie Ouzounidis (Mara).

Bobby's love for his family extended to his three grandchildren, Bobby Holden, George Ouzounidis, and Nyko Ouzounidis, who brought him absolute joy. He cherished every moment spent with them, creating precious memories that will forever be treasured.

Bobby's journey through life was deeply influenced by his dear parents, Ioannis Ouzounidis and Efthimia Ouzounidis (Papadapoulos), who preceded him in death. Their love and guidance shaped his character and instilled in him the values that he carried throughout his life.

Bobby shared a special bond with his late brother Athanasios Ouzounidis (Eleni) of Sumter, SC, his sister Georgia Dimitriadis (Christos) of Sumter, SC, and his brother Antonios Ouzounidis of Columbia, SC. Their close-knit family ties brought them laughter, comfort, and unwavering support. Bobby's nieces and nephews were an important part of his life, and he cherished their presence. He especially enjoyed bonding with them by playing soccer, a sport he was passionate about, during family gatherings.

As a restaurateur, Bobby found immense pleasure in meeting new people and engaging in lively conversations. His ability to connect with others and infectious sense of humor made him a beloved figure in the community. He left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

As we remember Haralambos "Bobby" Ouzounidis, let us cherish the memories of his vibrant spirit, his love for his family, his dedication to his profession, and his zest for life. His legacy will forever be dearly missed. May his memory be eternal.

Visitation and Trisagion will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, July 17, 2023 at Dunbar Funeral Home, 4219 Hard Scrabble Road, Columbia, SC 29229.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1900 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201 with Father Michael Platanis officiating followed by a burial at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens, 11020 Two Notch Road, in Elgin, SC 29045.
