
A graveside service for Mr. Charles E. Branham, 83, will be held 11 o’clock, Monday, August 22, 2011, at Centerville Cemetery, Centerville Road, Ridgeway, SC. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 4 until 6 o’clock at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia. Memorials may be made to the Centerville Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 778, Ridgeway, SC 29130.
Mr. Branham was born December 10, 1927, in Ridgeway, SC, a son of the late Benjamin Tillman Branham and Edna Easler Branham. Mr. Branham served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Longtown VFW and resident of the Blythewood community for over sixty years. Mr. Branham was an avid woodworker and member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, Ridgeway Ward.
Survivors include his daughter, Sheila B. Mattox and husband Kenny; one granddaughter, Hayden Mattox, all of Blythewood; sisters, Mable Wilson of FL, Norma Barfield of Lugoff, Margeurite Dinkins of Ridgeway; one brother, Faye Branham of Ridgeway. In addition to his parents, Mr. Branham was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-six years, Lola B. Branham; siblings, Benjamin Tillman Branham, Jr., Jeanette Peake, Dessie Lousie Catlett, and Harry Branham.
