

COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Clyde “Casey” Hale, 74, will be held at 11:00 a. m. Monday, August 12, 2013 at Virginia Wingard Memorial United Methodist Church with entombment in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Pallbearers will be Jay Smith, Don Turner, Craig Kingston, Mark Clarkson, Bill Mason and Bruce Brigman and honorary pallbearers will be Bill Middleton, Marvin Brunson, Wayne Johnson and Dana Smoot.
Mr. Hale was born April 18, 1939 in Catlettsburg, KY and passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2013. He was a son of the late Cecil A. Hale and Virginia Pigg Hale. Mr. Hale was an Engineer and a member of First Methodist Church in Catlettsburg, KY. He was an honorary Kentucky Colonel, founding member of Mental Gap, a member of Institute of Transportation Engineers. He worked for Wilbur Smith Engineering and Associates. He loved to golf, hunt, fish and he was a Kentucky Wildcat Fan.
Surviving are his wife, Ellen Hale of Columbia; sons, Devery Hale (Tina) of Irmo and Scott A. Hale (Marethe) of Columbia; grandchildren, Kelly, Haylie, Ashton and Lindsey; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister.
