
Daniel Jose Musuli, Sr., 83, of Lugoff, died Friday, April 27, 2012. Born in Puerto Padre, Cuba, on April 24, 1929, he was the only child of the late Vicente A. and Emma Lopez Mursuli. Daniel immigrated to the United States in October of 1960, seeking religious freedom. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Daniel was a former member of Gideons International and North Trenholm Baptist Church, where he served as deacon. He was the parts manager of Southland Equipment for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Nivia Soler Mursuli; two sons, Daniel Mursuli, Jr. and wife, Donna, and Vincent Mursuli and wife, Pamela, all of Lugoff; two daughters, Nivia Erikson and husband, Steve, of Charlotte, NC and Miriam Davis and husband, Jerry, of Fort Lauderdale, FL; grandchildren, Corey, Alisa, Nathan, Natalie, Gabriela and Miles; great grandchildren, Bryce, Chandler, Emma, Ethan and Collin; as well as the family pet, Ike.
The funeral service for Mr. Mursuli will be held 3 o’clock, Sunday, April 29th, at Trinity Baptist Church, 1062 Ridgeway Rd, Lugoff, with The Rev. Dr. Charles Everett officiating. Mr. Mursuli will be placed in the church at 2 o’clock. Burial will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens, 11020 Two Notch Rd, Elgin. Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is assisting the family.
