Diane Hymel Hingle

COLUMBIA - A funeral service for Diane Hymel Hingle, 74, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2026 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, with burial in Fort Jackson National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hingle died Thursday, March 19, 2026. Born in Louisiana, she was a daughter of the late Wilburt Joseph Hymel and Louise Lohr Hymel. A graduate of Annunciation High School, she worked as an administrative assistant for SCDC. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lexington. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting.

Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Joseph Wayne Hingle, Sr.; sons, Joseph Wayne Hingle, Jr. (Emily Setty) and Nicholas Paul Hingle (Jodie); and grandchildren, Stephanie Rose Hingle, Noah Ayden Hingle, Jackson Wyatt Hingle, Isabella Grace Hingle, Morgan Taylor (Robert Poston), Jordan Hayley; and great-grandchild, Presley Poston.
