Donald M Price

COLUMBIA – A graveside service for Donald M. Price, 82, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012 in Bush River Memorial Gardens Cemetery. There will be a viewing prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel. Memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1715 Broad River Road, Columbia, SC 29210.

Mr. Price died Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Providence Hospital surrounded by his family, after a brief illness. Born in Richland County, he was the son of the late Marvin B. and Beatrice M. Price. He was predeceased in 2001 by his wife of 49 years, Carolyn W. Price. He retired from Bellsouth in 1987, after 38 years, and served on active duty stateside in the National Guard during the Korean War. In his youth, he was a marching band drummer and once played with the South Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra.

Surviving are his son, Brian A. Price, daughter-in-law, Sarah M. Price and granddaughter, Bethany Carolyn Price, all of Mullins.
