

Erma L. (Crouser) Miracle was Marvin’s blue-eyed girl. Erma died peacefully in her sleep after a sudden illness in Columbia, SC on May 31 2022. She was surrounded by her children when she passed. Erma was born with her twin sister Jean Ruble in 1938 to Clifton and Edith Crouser of Waverly. She also had two brothers Junior and Howard both deceased. Erma was raised in Parkersburg but move to South Carolina 3 years ago to enjoy better weather. She was the life of the party to all who met her. Erma loved everyone she met. She was an active member of the Wildewood Women’s Association where she loved to play cards, dance, and sing. She was an avid reader, and her goal was to read 100 books this year. Erma enjoyed sitting on her lanai and watching the golfers go by. Trips to the beach were always her favorite weekend event. She attended St . John Newman’s Catholic Church in South Carolina and was a long-time member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Parkersburg. She kept God in her daily activities and plans. She always said, you must make time for God. Erma was married to 1SG Marvin C. Miracle for almost 60 years until his death in 2015. He was the love of her life. She missed him everyday but made the best of life without him. Erma loved life and loved her children. Marvin and Erma had five children – Jayne Kesterson, Mike Miracle, Randy Miracle, Tammy L. Miracle, and Ann M. Watson. Erma is survived by all her Children. She also has 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A memorial ceremony will be celebrated for Erma at Leavitt Funeral Home on July 14, 2022. There will be visitation from 12:00-2:00 and a service following at the Funeral Home. She will be buried next to her husband and best friend, Marvin at Sunset Memorial Gardens following the memorial service. A reception will follow the funeral at Leavit’s Center at 4:00.
