Ethel Derrick

IRMO – Funeral services for Ethel Sites Derrick, 95, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Shady Grove United Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2011 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shady Grove United Methodist Church, 1918 Shady Grove Road, Irmo, SC 29063.

Mrs. Derrick was born on September 30, 1915 in Richland County, SC and passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2011. She was a daughter of the late Joseph Sidney Sites and Claudia Amick Sites.

Mrs. Derrick is survived by her sons, Paul Derrick (Anne), Kenneth Derrick (Marie), Harvey Derrick (Donna), Harold Derrick (LaDonna) all of Irmo; daughters, Frances Mack of Cayce, Rachel Dailey (Joe), Ruth Derrick (Moray), Rebecca Shearouse (Dan) all of Irmo; sisters, Mary Ruth Shealy of Chapin, Mildred Sites of White Rock, Lois Hull of Columbia, Cecil Fermanis of Chapin, Doris Kleckley of Irmo; 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Herman N. Derrick; sister, Ellis Meetze; brothers, Edward “Bud” Sites and Herbert Sites.
