Evelyn B. Renfrow

Funeral services for Evelyn B. Renfrow, 86, of Columbia, widow of the late Richard T. Renfrow Jr., will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Greenlawn Baptist Church with Reverend Brenda Kneece officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the hour of the service at the church. Greenlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mrs. Renfrow passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2010. She was born November 17, 1923 in Marion, SC to the late Osborne Earl Baker and Betty Harrison Baker. Mrs. Renfrow graduated from Winthop College with a Bachelors Degree, and was a teacher for 30 years prior to her retirement from Richland School District One. She was a member of Greenlawn Baptist Church, where she was involved with numerous activities including the Missions program. She also was a volunteer with Baptist Hospital for many years.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty Kimbrell (husband Michael), Marian Renfrow, and Carolyn Smith; sons, Richard T. Renfrow III (wife Alice), and Paul Renfrow (wife Joan); sister, Marian Privette; brothers, Earl Baker (wife Betty) and Carol Baker (wife Sylvia); grandchildren, Jennifer Parsons, Angela Barrier, Matthew Smith, Rachael Howell, Sallie Renfrow, and James Renfrow; and step-grandchildren, Chris Stock, William Rolison, Robert Rolison, and John Rolison.
