

Born on May 4, 1936 in Rechytsa, Belarus, a son of the late Joseph and Sonya Rabinovich, he faced tough circumstances as a child enduring the conditions of World War II. Feliks had a passion for history, politics, and religion. He and his family moved from the former Soviet Union to Columbia, SC in October 1991, and continued to work until he was almost 79 years old. He was a colon cancer survivor for 29 years. He was proud of his Jewish heritage and went to services at Tree of Life Congregation for the last 32 years. He was a successful businessman, an outstanding mechanical engineer, and a recognized innovator at the tire plant in Bobruisk, Belarus.
In America, he worked at the John Deere plant and Publix Super Market, where he was known for his smile, friendliness, and sense of humor. His work ethic and character, in both the Former Soviet Union and in America, made him respected and beloved by all.
Surviving is his beloved wife Sarra Rabinovich, and their daughters, Irina Plotkin and Rimma Brandin. Feliks will also be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren, Vladimir Plotkin, Ariel, Mike, and David Brandin. He adored his wife Sarra, and loved his family and friends.

A graveside service for Feliks will be held Sunday, January 28, 2024 At 1:00 PM at Hebrew Benevolent Society Cemetery, Columbia, Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Dunbar Funeral Home - Northeast Chapel, 4219 Hard Scrabble Road, Columbia, SC.
