ELGIN – A funeral service for Frank Gilbert Jones, 75, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel with burial to follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Jones passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016. He was born on March 16, 1941 in Columbia and was a son of the late Charles and Katherine Jones. Frank graduated from Dentsville High School in 1961. He was an avid coin collector, Civil War history buff and Gamecock Athletics fan. He was a member of Jackson Creek Baptist Church. Surviving is his beloved wife of 55 years, Betty Jo Jones; son, Dwayne Jones (Teresa Poole Jones) of Columbia; daughter, Connie Jones Hancock of Blythewood; grandchildren, Darby Jones, Trent Hancock and Collen Hancock; siblings, Shirley Harmon of Columbia; Rev. Faye Stephens of Lexington and Randy Jones of Winnsboro and several nieces and nephews.
