It is so sad to see that George died. He always had a a warmth and humor that was lasting. I did not know in time to attend his service. Carolyn, you were blessed with a good man for many years and I know you will cherish those memories. God Bless the King family.

To the King family.  So sorry to hear about George.  We were NROTC and engineering classmates at USC.  We were glad to see him at our 50th NROTC reunion.  Great and accomplished fellow.

I am so sad to hear this news. I worked for George in the STAR/HONOR  sales group and I vividly remember George as a wonderful boss with a great sense of humor. My deepest sympathy to Carolyn and all of his family. He will be missed.

how very sad it is to receive news of george's passing...my sympathy and prayers to carolyn and all the king family during this very sad time..my son craig has been blessed by young george's friendship for many years..my loss is that i didn't know george better but no doubt he and carolyn raised a wonderful family which will surely carry on with their parents'fine example.. example.

So sorry for your loss.  I'll always remember the way George pronounced my name...made is more of an announcement rather than a greeting and made me feel special and welcome.  Our prayers for Carolyn and all the family.

I first met George in the USC NROTC; we also served together in the Naval Reserve.  George was an exemplary Naval Officer; he loved the Navy, his country, and his family.  He always was cheerful and fun to be around.  Fair winds and following seas, shipmate. We will meet again on a distant shore.

My deepest sympathy to all of the family members. George was one of my closest friends at Dreher and we shared many things. Both enjoyed the scouts and were Eagles, both in DeMolay, both KA's in college, both Naval Officers and kept in touch via e-mails for years. George came to see me in Highlands, NC just a few years ago and we had a great day in the sun catching up on everybody and everything we could think of. He will smiling face will always be missed by me and yet I will carry the memories of his friendship forever.

George was the first person to welcome me to SCN and made me feel special and valued - and I was the drive-in teller. His humor and warmth were the basis of an enduring friendship.  I'll miss his presence on our planet.

George was simply one of the finest men I've ever known. He lived his life with grace, dignity and a wonderful sense of humor. Those of us that knew and worked with him are fortunate.

I'm so sorry to hear of Mr. King's passing. I always enjoyed our chats at his lake house, as I was delivering his mail. I'll surely miss him & never forget his welcoming smile. God Bless!

George was a wonderful person who brought a smile and friendship to people he interacted with. I consider myself fortunate to have known him and worked with him after the Wachovia/SCN merger. I will miss him.
