Heather Daghestani Osteen, 43, beloved wife, daughter, sister, and friend passed from this life on March 9, 2021. She was born in 1977 in Columbia, South Carolina, where she grew up in the northeast area, went to school, and married. She and her husband, David Milton Osteen, Jr., settled their lives together in a country home near Blythewood, South Carolina. Those who knew Heather will remember a kind and loving friend who valued the simple pleasures and beauty of the outdoors. She loved animals and her heart belonged to her energetic dachshund, Turbo. Heather was talented, creative, and generous. The only thing she loved more than designing and creating her own line of beautiful jewelry was when she gave it away to her friends and loved ones.
Heather is survived by her loving husband, David M. Osteen, Jr. of Blythewood, SC; her parents, Sandra and Hani Daghestani of Columbia, SC; her devoted sister, Reema Daghestani of Atlanta, GA; her in-laws, Georgia and David M. Osteen, Sr. and brother-in-law, Todd Osteen of Lugoff, SC. Survivors also include her uncles, Donald Amick (Dianne) and Richard Amick (Cindy) of Prosperity, SC; Mousoud Daghestani of Serbia; aunts, Lynn A. Burns of West Union, SC and Karen A. West of Prosperity, SC and numerous cousins, friends, and her beloved dog, Turbo. Heather was predeceased by her grandparents, Abdalla and Fozieh Daghestani of Damascus, Syria and Floyd and Sarah Amick of Prosperity, SC; aunt, Jean A. Munn (James) of Columbia, SC and an uncle and four aunts from Damascus, Syria on her father’s side of the family; Marwan Daghestani, Amira D. Safadi, Seham D. Kanawati, Amal D. Affan and Narmine D. Omari.
A celebration of life service honoring Heather will be held in Columbia, SC at a date and time in the future when family and friends can gather safely. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of your choice would be a preferred remembrance.
