I was fortunate to have worked under Henry’s supervision while he served the State of South Carolina as Commissioner of the Commission for the Blind. He was a mentor and friend who assembled us “young Turks” (as he called us) and with his guidance we took the agency to new heights.  To his family, I share your loss and also treasure the memory of a great man. My prayers are with you all and we are all better for having known him.

Henry was a fine man with a wonderful sense of humor.  I worked with him at Voc Rehab for several years and communicated with him when he was the leader of the SC Commission for the Blind.  We shared many happy moments together, and his presence will be sorely missed.

I worked with Henry at the Commission for the Blind.  He provided me with many opportunities to grow and develop and was a mentor for me as I am sure he was for many others during his career in public service.  My prayers go out to the family.

Scott and I both adored Henry.  I imagine him  in Heaven, with my dad, talking history, current events, and looking down on us fondly.

Unfortunately, I never had the pleasure of meeting this accomplished gentleman. However, I do know he was a good man. He fathered a wonderful son who had to make him proud and who will miss him.

I thought the world of Henry Watts. He was also my first supervisor at VR and looking back on my long career in human services he was the best ever. The many contributions he so generously gave in serving those less fortunate leaves an indelible legacy to his memory.

Henry Watts was my Columbia Area Supervisor when I worked as a counselor with Vocational Rehabilitation.  He was a most caring person and had everyones interests at heart.  I am so saddened by his passing.  God bless his wife and family in their bereavement.  And God bless the fond memories of Henry Watts, a true gentleman.

Dear Martha,
I was saddened to read about Henry's death. What a fine man and devoted husband he was to you. You were such a loving, supportive wife to him. You had warned me about his impending death but losing him is always still so very hard. God bless you and keep you in His care.

What a lovely man. Many talents, great sense of humor, a friend.  He will be greatly missed.  Sending you love, Martha and family.
