Holland “Holly” Skipper, (née Thames), 59, of Columbia, SC passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones on July 16, 2022. Holland was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on June 1st, 1963 to Sally Harrison (nee Schoenberger) and Jon Thames. She graduated from Meridian High School and Mississippi State University. Holland worked many jobs in the health insurance and banking fields, most recently as a business analyst at AgFirst Farm Credit Bank. She most enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Holland is survived by her husband, Thomas, her daughter and son-in-law Ginny and Anthony, her daughters Lauren and Bobbie Jo, her brothers Ripley Thames and Joel Thames, her stepbrother Clayton Leikness, her stepsister Christine Leikness, her mother Sally Harrison, her father and stepmother Jon and Seong Thames.
Memorial services will be held at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, 4219 Hard Scrabble Road, Columbia, SC on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Holland’s name to the American Cancer Society.
