Hossein was born in Tehran, Iran. He pursued his passion for science and earned his doctorate in Chemistry from Utah State University before returning to Iran. In 1985, amidst the Iranian Revolution, Hossein made the courageous decision to bring his family to the United States so they could experience the same freedoms he had cherished in his youth.
At the age of 90, Hossein passed away peacefully and on his own terms, in the comfort of his home.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Paridohkt; his children Mahtab Gowan and her husband Michael, Maryam Drafts and her husband George, and Afshin Nanaie and his wife Farrah; as well as his four cherished grandchildren: Jordan, Layla, Jacob, and Elena.
Funeral arrangements are being handled with care by Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel. The family will not be receiving visitors. A private burial service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery.
