Jeanette died Friday, Aug. 13. Born in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of Clarence and Edna Stamps. A resident of Columbia, SC, and previously of Goldsboro, NC, Jeanette dedicated her life to her family and her many students as a teacher and principal. She was greatly loved by her family and everyone she crossed paths with. She will be remembered for her kind, generous, strong and loving spirit.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, Paul Gambrell; her sisters, Anita Turner and Malinda Gentry; her sons, Greg Gambrell and Gary Gambrell, and their wives, Carol Gambrell and Connie Gambrell, respectively; her five grandchildren, Diane Gambrell Austin, Alyssa Gambrell Saunders, Emily Gambrell, George Gambrell and Holly Gambrell; and her eight great-grandchildren, Holden Austin, Gavin Austin, Peyton Gambrell, Hattie Mae Gambrell Saunders, Colt Saunders, Kayley Gambrell, Grant Gambrell and Grayson Gambrell.
Donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project in lieu of flowers.
