Jo Ellen Bradley Woolley

Jo Ellen Bradley Woolley, age 76 of West Columbia, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 due to complications resulting from Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 13, 1948 to James and Jeanette Bradley.

Jo majored in Elementary Education at Purdue University, before receiving a Master's Degree in Education at Butler University. After teaching for several years in Indiana and South Carolina primary school systems, Jo joined the staff at the University of South Carolina. Her greatest love was helping graduate engineering students stay on track to graduation. While there she became a Gamecock through and through, faithfully attending or watching USC games and cheering with gusto. Her massive collection of Gamecock souvenirs was legendary!

Jo married William Lee Woolley, Jr. on July 11, 1986. She is survived by her husband; children, Adam Haeck and Will Woolley; and grandchildren, Alexander Haeck, Sebastian Haeck, Dustin Woolley, Catherine Woolley, and Dylen Woolley. Jo's sister, Jill Bradley Maniakas, still resides in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jo was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jeanette Bradley.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Elmwood Cemetery and Chapel in Columbia, South Carolina. An 11:00 AM graveside service will be preceded by a short visitation from 10:00 AM till 10:45 AM in the chapel.
