Gaston – A memorial service for Joe Beach Sampson, 65, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Services for Joe Beach Sampson will be held in Harriman, TN at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Riverside Baptist Church. The family will received friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Sampson was born July 24, 1947 in Harriman, TN and passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013. He was a son of the late Carl Sampson and Clarice Beach Sampson. He loved his grandson and loved to fish and hunt. He enjoyed having fun and cutting up with friends at Martin-Merrietta Rock Quarry where he worked. He enjoyed working crossroad puzzles.
Mr. Sampson is survived by his daughter, Sally Angle of Lexington; daughter, Rebecca Sampson of Columbia; grandson, Jaxon Liggett; former wife, Margaret Angle; sister, Judi (Jim) Anderson of Atlanta, GA; brother, Johnny (Judy) Sampson of Atlanta, GA; sister, Trudy Edwards of Tennessee; sister-in-law, Shawna Sampson and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, David Sampson and grandmother, Hattie Beach.
