GILBERT – John William Bafford III, 32, of Gilbert died on July 29, 2019. He was born September 14, 1986. Johnny is survived by his parents, John and Susan Bafford; his sister, Deanne and brother-in-law, Matt, and the lights of his life - his nephew, Abraham and niece, Delaney. He also leaves his girlfriend and greatest love, Megan Carmichael of Lexington, as well as many close aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends. Johnny Bill lived his life to the fullest each and every day - he was truly the life of the party! He was always willing and ready to help anyone he could with a contagious smile stretched from ear to ear. Johnny never met a stranger and always had time to sit down with you to talk and share a beer. He will be widely and deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 3:00 pm. The service will be held at Cherokee Presbyterian Church, 3622 Augusta Highway, Gilbert. Johnny's family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, his family asks that donations be made to Cherokee Presbyterian Church in memory of Johnny. The funds donated will be used to support the Backpack Program, which helps provide food items to children in need in the Gilbert school attendance area. Our family had the great privilege of meeting the Bafford family many years ago in Erial, NJ. We had just relocated and God decided to give us the best next door neighbors ever. My boys grew up with Jonny Bill and Deanne they started school together, had chicken pox together, and so much fun at the shore and in the back yard. We love all of you. We unexpectedly lost our Chris 2 years ago he and Johnny were buddies and I am sure their reunion was magnificent.
Our hearts are broken and we feel your pain. Know all our love is headed your way.
So sorry for your loss
Love Bernie and Debbie

I met John when he was working at griffen pools, He would always smile and let me tell you that smile would brighten anyone's day even if you was in a bad mood. He sold me a pool and would always help me no matter what. We became friends and even after he left griffen pools he would still help me with my pool. I have alot of respect for John. But selling me a pool wasn't the finished he was selling me cars left and right lol. I can't believe it was you that I heard on the news, to soon for a great man to leave us and hope we will see each other again. I'm glad to call you a friend I'm going to miss you. R.I.P. Johnny boy

“It's been a long day without you, my friend
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
We've come a long way from where we began
Oh I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
When I see you again”

-Miss you brother...

I first met John at the dealership. He was very friendly and helpful with every question I had. John talked with me like we had known each other for a long time and I didn't realize at the time that he was the brother to my friend Deanne. He will truly be missed.

We also were privileged to meet Johnny at Fred Anderson Toyota.
You never saw him without a broad smile on his face; a bright light has definitely dimmed on this earth. Johnny was so filled with life that this is such a shock. He will be missed by many and we offer our deepest sincere condolences to his family and friends.

I worked with Johnny over the course of two years at Fred Anderson Toyota. He was my friend and mentor. During that time, Johnny sold me the first vehicle I ever bought, my Toyota Tacoma. I’d wanted a Tacoma ever since I started driving. I would have never gone through with it if it wouldn’t have been for Johnny. He encouraged me and gave me the confidence I needed to take the leap. It was something I’d always wanted to do, and Johnny helped me make it happen. That was a positive impact that he had on my life. I’ll never forget it. Rest In Peace, Johnny B.

JohnnyBill was an energetic beautiful little blonde haired boy full of life and inquisitiveness when he was just a little boy. When I read about this tragedy my thoughts went way back to the time our families were neighbors and all the fun times we shared. One memory sticks with me till today. My sons came running in one day saying “ Mom JohnnyBill just hopped on his bike and started riding! No training wheels nothing just picked it up got on and started riding. Can’t believe it!” I think he was 4 when he did this. Although I did not see JohnnyBill grow into a man seeing his picture and the beautiful comments proves he lived and loved life just as I remember him at his young age. May he rest in the arms if the angels and may the family find comfort in the memories during the difficult days ahead.

I had the pleasure of meeting Johnny at Fred Anderson. He was one of the first to make me feel welcomed and the first to show me how things were done. I enjoyed speaking with him EVERYDAY. He always had a smile and something positive to say.

Johnny, what a fabulous young man. I loved and respected him and more importantly his character. I worked very closely with him for many years at Griffin Pools. I was so saddened to hear of his passing, but I know that Johnny is smiling largely at his place with our Lord. To his Parents I am so sorry for your loss. He will be missed immensely. Have faith that we will all experience that smile of his again shortly. I love you all.
