Katherine L. Watson - Kemp

Katherine passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010. She was born in Macon, GA on August 29, 1924 to the late Marvin E. and Manuela R. Lovein. A resident of the Columbia area since 1949, she was a long-time member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and also volunteered her time with the hospice services of Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital.

She is survived by her husband of 11 ½ years, Henry B. Kemp, Jr. She was predeceased by her first husband of 53 years, Robert A. Watson. She is also survived by her daughter, Katherine L. Watson of Columbia; granddaughter, Kaitlin L. Hall (Erik) of Batesburg, SC; sisters, Anna L. Cleary of Columbia and Betty Herman of Coffeen, IL; and a brother, Marvin E. Lovein, Jr. of Columbia. She was predeceased by a sister, Jacquelyn L. Poole. She is also survived by step-daughters, Kathryn Illingworth (George) of Simpsonville, SC and Susan Coggins (William) of Columbia; and step-sons, Henry B. Kemp III of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Albert O. Kemp of Columbia.
