Kenneth P. Day

COLUMBIA – A graveside service for Kenneth P. Day, 94, of Columbia, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday December 28, 2013 in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Elmwood Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 501 Elmwood Ave., Columbia SC 29201. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 2025 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201.

Kenneth was born on October 4, 1919 in Summit, SC to Jacob Oscar Day and Estelle Hall Day and passed away on December 24, 2013. He was a member of the Central Church of the Nazarene in Columbia. Kenneth was a Little League coach for 11 years. He loved to garden especially growing roses. He loved listening to Country and Western music and was a great musician himself. He loved animals and was an avid Gamecocks fan.

Kenneth is survived by his sons, Larry Day and Howard Day; 2 granddaughters and 8 great- grandchildren. He is predeceased by his Loving wife, Irma Lee Day.
