Kenny Arthur Price

A funeral service for Kenny Arthur Price, 63, of West Columbia will be held at 11 o’clock Thursday, May 26 at New Hope Worship Center with Pastor Rusty Trotter and Pastor Ronald Roach officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church two hours prior to the service beginning at 9 o’clock. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to New Hope Worship Center, 426 South Main Street, Gaston, SC 29053 or to Palmetto Health Hospice, Dept. 274, PO Box 100199, Columbia, SC 29202. Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel is assisting the family.

Mr. Price died Monday, May 23, 2011. Born in Barnesville, Ohio he was a son of the Late Virgil Victor Price and Sarah Adaline Conley. A member of New Hope Worship Center Mr. Price served with the 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Division, U.S. Army in Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Air Medal, and the Purple Heart. He later retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Sandra M. Price; daughters, Theresa Marie (John) White of Lakeland, FL; Stephanie Jo (Brandon) Biggs of West Columbia; sons, Kenny A. (Terri) Price, Jr. of Belle Chase, LA; Anthony Todd (Julie) Price of West Columbia; grandchildren, Wesley, Brittany, Cameron, Cody, Joshua, Jordan, Hailey, Micala, Casey and Spencer; great-grandchildren, Keegan and Liam.
