Khristopher Allen Hair

From the beginning, Khristopher carried a steady presence—calm as a baby, rarely crying unless it truly mattered. And once he found his feet, he was “WIDE OPEN,” moving through life with energy that drew people in. He had a gift for bringing laughter when it was least expected and most needed. Even when he got into mischief, it was hard to stay upset with him for long; a small smile from Khris could soften any moment and remind those around him of what mattered most.

Khris was hard-working and dependable, giving his time and effort faithfully over the years. He worked with Exceed Landscaping for 10 years, Fastmile Logistics for 3 years, and US Lawns for 6 years—building a life marked by consistency, dedication, and the quiet pride of showing up fully for the people and responsibilities entrusted to him.

A lover of the outdoors, Khris found happiness in fishing, hunting, and spending time with friends and loved ones. And when football season arrived, Gamecock football ruled—good or bad—because loyalty was simply part of who he was. “Go Gamecocks!”

Khris is survived by his mother, Beth Hair of Columbia, SC; sister, Heather Woodside (Hair) and brother-in-law Joshua Woodside and his nephews Norman and William of Ft. Benning GA; sister, Cheyenne Wiseman of Columbia, SC; brothers, TJ Heiden of Thomasville, NC, Benjamin Hewett of Columbia, SC and Dekota Smith of West Columbia, SC; stepsister, Elizabeth (Beth) Hewett; and daughters, Savannah and Gracie Smith. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Thomas Milton (Buddy) Hair and stepbrother, Freddie Hewett.

To his family, Khris will always and forever be their Bulldog. To his friends, he will always be Backwoods. In every role he held—son, brother, uncle, friend—he was present in the ways that count: kind-hearted, giving, and selfless, with a love that did not seek attention but made itself known through loyalty and care. Many knew him not only as a best friend, but as the kind of person whose steady devotion could be counted on without question.

The family appreciates the outpouring of condolences and support from family, friends, and coworkers.
