Larry Eugene Kingery

ELGIN - A memorial service for Larry Eugene Kingery, 73, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Columbia, SC. The family will greet friends at 1:00 p.m. on the same day at the church.

Mr. Kingery passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. The son of the late Lonnie Mike and Lucille Brown Kingery, Larry was born in 1951 in Statesboro, GA. He spent his childhood in Beaufort, SC and Greensboro, NC and graduated in 1971 from Southeast Guilford High School in Greensboro, N.C.

Larry was known for his warm sense of humor, his generous spirit, and his unwavering loyalty to those he loved. A hardworking and dependable man, he touched the lives of everyone he met with kindness and compassion. His friends and family cherished his genuine nature and his ability to make others smile.

In his leisure time, Larry enjoyed fishing, watching sports, gardening, and traveling. He was a devoted member of St. David’s Episcopal Church in Columbia, SC, where he had been a long-time participant in the life of the congregation.

Larry's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Surviving are his wife, Becky Frantz Kingery; children, Larry E. Kingery Jr. (Becca), Michael Lance Kingery (Jessica); grandchildren, Lawson E. Kingery, Kaden L. Kingery, Mason A. Kingery; sister-in-law, Vivian Kingery; niece, Robin Kingery (Eddie); nephew, Mike Kingery (Angela). In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Lorraine Kingery; brother, Lonnie Mike Kingery Jr.; great-nephew, Lonnie Mike Kingery IV.

Memorials may be made to St. David’s Episcopal Church in Columbia.
