year for a short time due to her illness.

Prayers and condolences on Laura's passing. Below is a piece written by Henry Scott Holland (27 January 1847  17 March 1918) Regius Professor of Divinity at the University of Oxford may if bring you comfort during this time a great los and sorrow.

Death is nothing at all. It does not  count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was. I am I, and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together  is untouched, unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference into your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without an effort. without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is absolute and unbroken continuity. What is this death but a negligible accident? Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, some where very near, just round the comer. All is well.

God truly received a wonderful angel in heaven this past Sunday.  What a joy it was to grow up with Laura and be counted as one of her friends.  Laura lived life to the fullest and loved to share her wonderful stories and adventures with all of her friends.  She had a gift of story telling and would keep us in tears of laughter with her entertaining adventures.  A life well lived is what Laura represents.  I enjoyed her uplifting personality for many years and fun times through our Book Club get togethers and beach trips to Edisto.  She is certainly an hard act to follow and she will be greatly missed.  We love you and missing you so much!  I know Jesus has you in his arms and you are sharing your adventures with him.
