Lawrence Lee Hancock

Mr. Lawrence “Duck” Lee Hancock, 62, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012. Born in Columbia on August 9, 1949, he was the son of the late Walter and Jackie Bunton Hancock. Larry retired as a Superintendent working for Mashburn Construction Company. Larry graduated from Eau Claire High School.

A time of remembrance with family and friends will be held 11 o’clock, Saturday morning, April 21, 2012, at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia.

The family will hold a graveside service at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery at a later date.

Survivors include his brother, Phil (Argent) King of San Antonio, TX; nephews and nieces, Michael, Patricia, Lawrence and Jackie King; and cousins, Doug (Patricia) Hancock of Chapin, SC, Don Murray, Doris Murray Tyler, Lynn Murray Stalzer, Dane Hancock, Barbara Hancock Andrews, Carol Porter Graham, Bobby, Ricky and Skipper Porter.
