Loving Son, Brother, & Father

Leon Driggers “Papa”, age seventy-seven, of Wagener, South Carolina, passed away Monday, February 4, 2019 at his residence. Born, April 5, 1941 in West Columbia, he was the son of the late Melvin and Janie Driggers. His children; Larry (Davanna) Driggers, Leon “Kim” Driggers, Justin “Brant” Driggers, and the late Danny “Tiny” (Barbara), Driggers; Gina Whitaker (Robert), Sofia Yarborough (Michael), Michael “Rocky” Driggers, 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Surviving are his brothers, Jerry, Donald, Herbert, and Lucius and sisters, Faye, Debra, and Sarah. Leon retired in 2008 from Driggers Painting & Floor Sanding where he worked alongside his loving wife, Jean Driggers, of fifty-four years. We are grateful for our Dad’s service to God and to his dedication to his family. The funeral service will be Friday, February 8, 2019 in the Chapel of Elmwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, located at 501 Elmwood Avenue, Columbia, South Carolina 29201. Visitation will start at 1:00 and services will follow at 2:00 p.m.
