Lewis William Addis Jr.

Irmo, SC — Mr. Lewis William Addis Jr., 65, of 15 Maple Tree Court, Irmo, South Carolina, and husband of Rebecca Seibert Addis, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, South Carolina.

Born on February 28, 1960, in Anderson, South Carolina, Mr. Addis was the son of the late Lewis William Addis Sr. and Helen Shaw Addis.

Mr. Addis was the former owner and operator of Addis and Sons Heating and Air and Replacement Systems (HVAC) and dedicated more than 40 years to the heating and air conditioning industry. He took great pride not only in his work but in teaching many of his nephews the HVAC trade, several of whom continue to work in the HVAC industry to this day.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rebecca Seibert Addis; his son, William C. Addis of Irmo, South Carolina; his daughter, Pamela Moffitt and her husband Jonathan, of Irmo, South Carolina; one sister, Gail Middleton of Williamston, South Carolina; one brother, Henry S. Addis of Columbia, South Carolina; and three grandchildren, Lee Blessing, Graham Moffitt, and Ashton Moffitt, who were a great joy in his life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Cathy Shaw and Sylvia Davis.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Barnett Grove Independent Baptist Church, 5523 Highway 187, Anderson, SC 29625, conducted by Pastor Dale Duckett. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park at a later date. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service.

Mr. Addis was a devoted Clemson Tigers fan and a lifelong NASCAR enthusiast who especially enjoyed attending races with his family, creating lasting memories they will always cherish. In honor of his love for Clemson, the family kindly asks that those attending his memorial service wear orange or purple.
