Linda Smith Faulkner, 81, of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026. Born in Concord, North Carolina, on April 30, 1945, Linda lived a life rooted in faith, family, and kindness.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Douglas J. Faulkner, and her son-in-law, Edwin Cornelius.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Tammy Faulkner Cornelius; her son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Sandy Faulkner; her special daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Randy Fowler; her granddaughter, Jamie Beidas; her grandsons, Ryan and Matt Fowler; and her cherished great-granddaughter, Greenlee Thomas. She also leaves behind her dear friends, Bobbie Ruhl and Ann Martin, whose friendship was a treasured blessing throughout her life, as well as her beloved dog, Boo, who brought her great comfort, joy, and companionship.
A devoted member of Temple Baptist Church in Columbia, Linda’s Christian faith guided the way she lived and loved. She found great joy in serving others and had a remarkable gift for creating beautiful floral arrangements. She was also an exceptional cook and talented seamstress, sharing her creativity and love through countless meals, handmade treasures, and thoughtful acts of kindness.
Linda will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, generous heart, and the love she poured into her family and friends. Her legacy of grace, compassion, and devotion will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
A private graveside service will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
