Mrs Linda Mayhew Stanick

IRMO –Memorial services for Linda Mayhew Stanick, 68, of Irmo, will be held at 3pm Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Lake Murray Presbyterian Church. Visitation will follow in the church gymnasium. Caughman–Harman Funeral Home on Bush River Road in Columbia is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Wescott Acres Pet Rescue, 6005 Wescott Road, Columbia, SC 29212.

Mrs. Stanick, wife of Billy Stanick, Sr., passed away July 1, 2014. Born in Mullins, SC, she was a daughter of the late James W. Mayhew and Edna Floyd Mayhew. Linda was married to Billy Stanick, Sr., owner, Stanick Sheet Metal & Roofing, Inc., for 53 years. She was retired as the executive assistant to Andre Bauer when he served as Lieutenant Governor. Linda had also been employed with the SC state agency Legislative Information Systems for many years. Mrs. Stanick and her husband were members of the Lake Murray Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Billy G. Stanick, Sr., 73; a son, Billy G. Stanick, Jr., 52; daughter, LaJuana S. Sturkie, 50; her son-in-law, Matt Sturkie, 52; and two grandsons, Zachary H. Sturkie, 23, and Chandler M. Sturkie, 21, all who reside in Ballentine, SC.

Mrs. Stanick was a lover of many things including her Maltese puppies which she bred and raised. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and remembered for her exceptional beauty, gentleness, kindness and compassion for others.
