Lonnie Westley McPherson IV

Celebration of Life Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2023 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Lonnie was born in October 24, 1968 in Philadelphia, PA, to Lonnie and Mary Peebles McPherson. Lonnie served his country proudly in Desert Storm in the United States Army obtaining the rank of E5/ Sergeant. He was quick witted, intelligent and possessed a quiet strength that gave him his role of everyone's "Big Brother". Lonnie enjoyed driving fast in sports cars, movies, eating good pasta and soul food. Most recently, he was employed as a Monitor Technician with Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.

In addition to his mother, he is predeceased by an aunt; Annette Peebles. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Stephan Cook; a sister, Korinne McPherson Green (Terrence); a cousin, Gregory Peebles (Colleen); and a host of extended family and friends.
