CHAPIN - Luke Cox, 86, of Chapin left this earth on Sunday, February 14, 2016. A son of the late Olivia and Van Cox, Sr.., Mr. Cox was born in Loris, SC. A life-long resident of Chapin, retired owner of Cox Home Improvement, past Master of Little Mountain Masonic Lodge #281 and Eastern Star. He enjoyed camping, fishing, the beach and spending time with his family.
Mr. Cox leaves behind his loving wife of 68 years, Elene Bush Cox; sons, Glen and wife, Pam, Bruce and wife, Carolyn of Caryville, TN; daughter, Teri Cotney and husband Nelson; grandsons, Barry and Bryon Cotney; sisters, Marigold (Toby) Kembring, Penny Ward and Anna Lee Driggers. He was preceded in death by his brother, Van, Jr., and sisters, Edith Westbury and Ethelene Bonner.
Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016, for graveside services at Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church Cemetery. The Rev. Ralph Hill will officiate.
