COLUMBIA – Marion Rhett Pruitt, Sr., 72, died Sunday, July 12, 2015. Born in Greenwood, SC on March 17, 1943, he was the eldest son of the late Mary Myers and William Ernest Pruitt, Sr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Patricia T. Pruitt; children M. Rhett Pruitt, Jr. (Tammy) of Blythewood and E. Rebekah Siceloff (Jeffrey) and P. Alexander Pruitt of Columbia; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brothers Stanley Pruitt (Margo) of Aiken and John Pruitt (Tammy) of Brookhaven, MS; sister Myra Salas (Ruben) of Gaston; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, William E. Pruitt, Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 on Friday, July 17, 2015 at Dunbar Funeral Home Northeast Chapel, with burial following at 3:00 at Mount Bethel Baptist Church cemetery in Belton. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
