Marion Wesley Walker

A memorial service for Marion Wesley Walker, 27, of Columbia, will be held 3 o’clock, Sunday, February 26, 2012, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia. The Rev. Mark Wendland will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service. Mr. Walker died Thursday, February 23, 2012. Born in Columbia on September 3, 1984, he was a son of the late Porter David Walker and Linda Diane Cline Walker Cambell. Wesley graduated from Richland Northeast High School and worked as a chef.

Surviving are his grandparents, Edgar and Rita Cline of Columbia; half-sisters, Kimberly Ackerman and Laura Butler; fiancée, Gower Laing of Columbia; step-father, Tom Cambell; as well as a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. In addition to his parents, Wesley was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Porter and Mildred Walker.
