

Martha Ann Sullivan, Marty or Nana to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026 surrounded by family at the Agape Hospice Home in Lexington, South Carolina. Her husband, Thomas Sullivan passed away four years prior. Marty’s beloved therapy dog, Sunny has been rehomed to Rhonda, and family, who knew Sunny and Marty well from the English Meadows, in Camden South Carolina.
Her family includes daughter Kim Nicolle and Wayne, daughter Karen Miller, son Keith and Debbie Sullivan, brother Jack Axtell and Jacquie, and sisters-in-law Jean Kuglics and Vicki Barr. She leaves behind five grandchildren and ten, soon to be eleven great-grandchildren. Her family also includes her family, friends at English Meadows.
Marty and Tom met at Geneva College in PA, married and had three children while she continued her studies, commuting and working as a kindergarten teacher. Her zest for life matched her fiery red hair and exuberance for life. She was a master seamstress, extraordinarily gifted quilter, avid reader, a boy scout and girl scout leader, square dancer, and lover all animals. She had tattoos, drove sports cars, motor cycles and even parachute jumped. She also had a strong belief in God, afterlife and was at peace in her final journey Home.
Although heartbroken with our loss of this incredible person, her family also has some peace in knowing that she lived life on her terms, and without pain or suffering. Our heartfelt during her final days to Agape home, the doctors and nurses at both Camden and Columbia Prisma hospitals, and to her much-loved compadres at the English Meadows. Your care and compassion towards Marty made our loss bearable. She lives on in our thoughts, hearts and prayers. Until we meet again, please rest in peace with God sweet Marty.
Burial will be private for the family.
