Mary Elizabeth Biro

COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Faulconer Brio, widow of the late Joseph W. Brio, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Shandon Baptist Church with interment in Bush River Memorial Gardens, 5400 Bush River Rd. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel.

Mary was born on October 7, 1917 in Orange County, VA, and passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013. She was the daughter of the late George Melvin Faulconer and Lenora Dempsey Faulconer.

She was a member of St. Andrews Baptist Church for 23 years and active in Sunday school, NARFE and other organizations. She was a member of Shandon Baptist Church. She was retired after 32 years from the U.S. Navy Department and department of Housing in Washington DC.

Surviving are her daughter, Elaine and son-in-law Volker Von Eck of Columbia, SC; son, Paul J. and daughter-in-law Sharon Brio; granddaughter, Rebecca and grandson Phillip Brio. Memorials may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, South Carolina Chapter, PO Box 1427, Easley, SC 29201.
