Mary Ellen Kane

COLUMBIA – Mary Ellen Kane passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013. She was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN. For the past thirteen plus years she volunteered over 2500 hours at Lexington Medical Center. Mrs. Kane is survived by her four children, Michael James (Jennifer) of Lexington, KY; Kathleen Marie, Julie Ann and Steven Charles (Deanie) all of Columbia and six grandchildren.

A visitation to celebrate her life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. A private family burial will be held at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lexington Medical Center Volunteer Auxillary, 2720 Sunset Blvd., West Columbia, SC 29169 or a charity of one’s choice.
