CHAPIN – Myrtis Taylor Eleazer passed away at her home on Friday, March 15, 2013, after a long illness. Born in 1925, she was the daughter of the late Millus P. and Bernice Free Taylor. Mrs. Eleazer was predeceased by her husband, Allison Shealy “Al” Eleazer and is survived by her children, Karl Ann Eleazer (Clark Adkins), Cliff Eleazer, Allison Christine Eleazer and one grandson, Jason Adkins.
She is also survived by her brother, Michael Taylor, and sisters, Lois Pleasant (Russell), Doris Ballenger, Marjorie Mitchell and Sandra Wells (Monty). She was predeceased by her siblings, Frances Deaver, Vivian Youngblood, Helen Johnston and Olin Taylor
She graduated from Columbia High School and worked in civil service as the Chief of the Personal Property Section at Ft. Jackson in Columbia, SC.
Family and friends are welcome to celebrate her well lived life at a memorial service at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel.
