Nicole Adele Hamer (Ferrara), age 84, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and faithful servant of Jesus Christ, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 11, 2026. Nicole was born on July 8, 1942, to Vincent and Madeline Ferrara in Chicago, Illinois.
Nicole’s life was marked by unwavering devotion to Jesus, her family, and her friends. She shared her faith freely with nearly everyone she met, desiring that all would come to know Jesus.
Nicole is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Frederick, of Columbia, SC; her son, Frederick Hamer Jr., and his wife Linda, of Indianapolis, IN; her daughter, Elizabeth Butterfield, and her husband Jason, of Blythewood, SC; her grandsons, Alexander Barney and his wife Amanda, and Frederick Hamer III; and her great granddaughters, Chloe and Evelyn Barney.
Her family rejoices in knowing that Nicole is now home with her Lord.
A service to celebrate Nicole’s life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Village Church, located at 574 Rimer Pond Road, Blythewood, South Carolina. Family and friends are invited to gather in honor of her remarkable life and enduring faith. Visitation will be held from 10:00–11:00 a.m., followed by a service at 11:00 a.m., with lunch provided afterward for all who wish to stay.
