With deep love and profound sadness, we honor the life of Patricia Mary Frazier, who passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, at the age of 96, surrounded by her loving family, in Columbia, South Carolina.
Born in Colchester, Essex England, Patricia was the beloved daughter of Arthur George Long and Catherine Ellen Allen. She carried her English roots with pride throughout her life and remained deeply connected to cherished family members in England. Later in life, she proudly became a United States citizen at the age of 89 - a milestone that meant a great deal to her and her family.
Throughout her working years, Patricia held many roles in sales, where her warmth, charm, and friendly nature left a lasting impression. Above all, she was a loving wife, a wonderful mother, and an adoring grandmother whose greatest joy came from caring for her family. Affectionately known as a bit of a “worry wart,” Patricia cared deeply for her children, grandchildren, friends, and pets - always putting their needs before her own.
Her Catholic faith was a steady guiding force in her life, offering her strength, hope, and grace. Patricia had a lifelong love for animals and showed kindness to every creature she encountered. She was also known for her love of dancing and her joyful spirit - she could make any gathering brighter and always found a way to have a good time, no matter the setting. Her friendly smile, gentle humor, and caring heart will be deeply missed.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Karen Langley, and her son, Robert Frazier; her five grandchildren - Craig Frazier, Stuart Langley, Dustin Langley, Katherine Kaylor, and Alexandria Castillo; eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many cherished family members in England.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob Frazier; her parents; her sister, Eileen; and multiple beloved pets who were truly part of her family.
A funeral service celebrating Patricia’s life will be held on January 20 at 9:00 AM at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 9720 Wilson Blvd, Blythewood, SC 29016. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229. After the burial, family and friends are warmly invited to gather for the wake at 10 Heron Pond Court, Columbia, SC, where stories will be shared and a beautiful life remembered.
Two of Patricia’s favorite cheeky quotes perfectly reflects her humor and spirit:
“May those who love us, love us;
And for those who don't love us,
May God turn their hearts;
And if He doesn't turn their hearts,
May He turn their ankles,
So we will know them by their limping.”
‘Here's to you and yours and to mine and ours.
And if ever you and yours come across mine and ours,
I hope that mine and ours are as good to you and yours
as you and yours are to mine and ours.’
May Patricia’s memory continue to guide us, comfort us, and remind us that love - faithful, joyful, and enduring - never fades.
