COLUMBIA - Graveside service for Rae Sylvia Harris, 60, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, January 18, 2015, at Hebrew Benevolent Society Cemetery. Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, is in charge. Miss Harris died Wednesday, January 7, 2015. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Frank Zupnick Harris and Rose Harris. She was a 1972 graduate from A.C. Flora High School; served as a caregiver for her parents in their later years; loved animals, especially cats, dogs and whales. Surviving are her caregivers, Richard H. Lewenthal of Marietta, Ga., Philip M. Lewenthal of Berkeley, Ga., Richard Weis of Foxborough, Mass.; and numerous cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tree of Life Synagogue, 6719 N. Trenholm Road, Columbia, SC 29206; or Hebrew Benevolent Society, 1732 Hampton Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
