COLUMBIA - Richard Warren, 81, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020.

Celebration of Life Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2020 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, officiated by grandson, Reverend Malachi Alexander and Reverend Ned Crosby. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A reception following the service will be held at, 304 Lincolnshire North Drive, Columbia, SC 29203.

Richard was born February 11, 1939 in Camden to the late Frank and Gazella Thomas Warren. Richard was a hardworking man and began painting at the age of seventeen for his family’s business, which was the first black owned painting business in Camden. He was a peacemaker and loved his family.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his son, Richard Warren, Jr.; sister, Atlee Gray; brother, Frank Warren, Jr.; grandson, Kameron Singletary; and brother-in-law, Reverend Arthur Macklin, Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela D. Jones; children, Josephine "Puddin" Fyall, Lynette Lurk, Jacobi Alexander (Alexia Branham), Brandon H. Jones, and Kandi N. Warren; fourteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Maria W. Macklin; brother, Charlie Warren (Joyce); sisters-in-law, Tracey Jones Alston (Lawrence), Kelley Jones (Anthony "Pop" Lykes), Elaine Jones (Sharon), and Jessica Rhaney; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
