Robert “Robin” Stanley Hood died on June 7th, 2022 in Columbia, SC at the age of 66. Robin is survived by his children, Chris Hood and Lauren Hood, and his sister, Rose Mary Thompson. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Audrey Hood, and his brother Cameron Hood.
Robin was born in Charlotte, NC on October 9, 1955. He graduated from West Charlotte High School in 1973, then attended Central Piedmont Community College shortly afterwards. Throughout his life, he enjoyed working in the newspaper industry, listening to music of every genre, and visiting family and friends in Charlotte.
In lieu of funeral services and to honor Robin’s family tradition of sending cards, the family invites all who wish to send a card to Robin’s home or make a donation to the National Kidney Foundation in his honor.
