Sylvia “Patsy” Davis

Mrs. Davis died Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Born in Wilson, NC, she was a daughter of the late Richard Ernest Smiley and Blanche Myrtle Bass Smiley. She graduated from Wilson County Fike High School and spent 24 years as a military wife, traveling extensively. Known for her patience and kindness, she was an excellent cook who cherished her family and loved spending time with them. She loved birds and flowers and enjoyed watching game shows and soap operas.

Surviving are her son, Keith Daniel Davis, Jr. (Tamara); daughter, Sarah Lynn Payne (Karl); grandchildren, Erin Davis, Jill Davis, Daniel Davis (Tania), Matthew Payne, and Ashley Grace Payne; and great-grandchildren, Anthony Cruz and Aria Gary.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Keith Daniel Davis, Sr.; granddaughter, Alyson Payne; and sister, Myrtle Batts.
