COLUMBIA – Thomas Russell Lind, 84, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 10:00 at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church. Born in Bronx, New York he was a son of the late Sebastian Henry and Patricia Mary Lind. He was a graduate of Blessed Sacrament High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University. He worked as a corporate executive for American Cyanamid and Angelini Pharmaceuticals. He was a loving father and grandfather and enjoyed golf. He was a member of Saint John Neumann Catholic Church. He is survived by son John Henry Lind (Susan) of York, Pa.; daughter, Andree Avagliano of Myrtle Beach; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; brother, Frederick Lind of Jacksonville, Fla and sister, Patricia Zoller (John) of Austin, Tx. He was predeceased by sons; Thomas Russell Lind, Jr. and James “Jimmy” Michael Lind. Memorials may be made to Saint John Neumann Catholic Church, 100 Polo Road, Columbia, SC 29223.
