Tonya J. Ducey

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday May 28, 2022 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Tonya was born in Brunswick, GA to Itasca W. and Lemuel L. Joiner. Her loving and caring nature helped her excel in her career as a flight attendant and as an administrative assistant. Tonya enjoyed drawing, crossword puzzles, reading, cooking, music, dancing and spending time at the beach. A member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, she was a very giving person and would help anyone who needed it. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, the way she would always speak her mind and for being a dedicated mother.

In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her sister, Deborah Willis. Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 34 years, Frederick E. Ducey, III, a son, Matthew R. Ducey, sister, Belisa Joiner of Guilford, MS, niece, Michelle M. Reynolds of Millegeville, GA, nephew, Reidard Moore of Miami, FL, a stepdaughter, Anna Barton (David) of Rincon, GA, two stepsons, Adam Ducey (Lori) of Thompson, GA and Morgan Ducey (Verona) of Charlotte, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the ASPCA.
