Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022, at St John Neumann Catholic Church, 100 Polo Road Columbia, SC 29223. All are invited back to Ursula and Jimmy’s home afterwards for an abundance of food, music and beverages to continue celebrating Ursula’s life, 23 Shoreline Drive, Columbia SC 29229. A resident of Columbia SC, Ursula was born November 4, 1973 - to the late Sergeant Major Juan Lujan and loving mother Vivian Lujan Meadows. Let's journey into Ursula’s vibrant personality and what people would often say about her. “To know Ursula was to love Ursula” Ursula was known for her beautiful bright smile and shining light of energy, along with her love for all. She never met a stranger and was just genuinely friendly and easy to like and love. Everyone got a reset button and/or a fresh start with Ursula. She never judged, she was just understanding and met people where they were. Ursula was born to be a mother! She loved her kids every day. She lived for it! Antonio, Julianna, Sebastian, and Brandon all felt loved their entire lives and she was so proud of them and always supported their endeavors - be it sports, school, activities, hardships, sickness, movie time, or games and just all they enjoyed and experienced together. Movie nights will be remembered forever. Today she holds her lost baby Noah (April 2007) tightly with love and just taught him how to salsa dance. Ursula was an All-In kind of wife of loyalty. She was Jimmy Moore’s 4EVA love. They both used 4EVA on all birthdays, and anniversary cards throughout their entire life together. The two were married for 21 years and together since college for just over 23 years in total. They were engaged in Heidelberg, Germany in 1998 while visiting Ursula’s father Sgt Major Juan Lujan at his then assigned Army post. Jimmy had secretly carried the engagement ring in flight and was able to somehow receive Juan’s blessing over warm beers before the Mardi Gras type international festival; then miraculously gained access to the stage and microphone to only proceed in proposing to Ursula in front of 500+ attendees - in both German, Spanish and English to be sure all bases were covered. Ursula and hundreds shed a happy tear this night in the name of love because she said YES She loved her new ring and what it stood for. They celebrated continuously till Jan 21, 2022. People regularly would say that their marriage was the happiest marriage they have ever known. Jimmy and Ursula could take on anything together, and they did. They started businesses together, they traveled the world together, they were raising beautiful and bright children in strong faith, and loved every moment of the journey. They always had each other’s back, thru sicknesses in Ursula’s migraines and accidents, and more recently through Jimmy’s Covid pneumonia hospitalization. Ursula helped him survive and was by his side thru it all nursing him back to health over a tough 2-month near-death experience. Jimmy always felt loved and they thought they would die together at an old age laying in a bed like the kind of love in the Notebook. She beat him to it but he will catch up to her soon enough. Ursula loved her mother Vivian, her mother-in-law Becky Moore, and sister Viviana, her nieces and nephews, and 2 grand-babies. She was loved by all her cousins and large family stretching from New York to New Orleans to Puerto Rico and more. Ursula's greatest accomplishment in her 48 years on this earth was first and foremost her love and joy of being an amazing wife and mother - it was her passion, her purpose, her WHY. We talked about it often about engaging in other hobbies but it was always wanting to be with her family instead and just enjoy the moments and simple things. She told me she loved me every morning, every night, and all in between. She did this with her kids too. She called her mother Vivian and sister Viviana every morning and night to say hi and tell them she loves them - without fail. Ursula’s professional work career was built around customer service roles and helping people. It started with serving in restaurants thru high school and college; then evolved to epic ventures like working the Barcelona Summer Olympics in 1996 with NBC Sports alongside her cousin Tuly Oneil. She launched to the air in her early twenties as a flight attendant with 2 major airlines, US Airways, and Delta, (yes we got lots of free trips or cheap upgrades) A few years later and a few kids later Ursula needed to be closer to home with the kids and Jimmy so she resigned, retiring her wings and then she and Jimmy started 2 small business, Caliente Styles and Cafe Sebi. She shined and brought unique clothing apparel and Latin cuisine to the midlands of SC. A few years later those businesses were sold and she went on to join a Fortune 500 company, Heartland Payment Systems and served in several roles including Account Manager, Regional Service Director, and then Affiliate Partnership Director overseeing Heartland’s relationship with the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Ursula helped establish relationships and oversee the important partnership for about 200 local Chambers across the U.S. — to assist them in setting up Payment Processing through card brands like Visa/MasterCard, along with Payroll services. She loved people and embraced her Hispanic heritage to bring more awareness and value to small businesses. In more recent years she enjoyed supporting Jimmy’s career in Sales Leadership and has been the rock of the family and centerpiece of the Moore household. She was greatly needed in that role to make 6,000 square feet across 3 levels run efficiently, all while ensuring the kids' healthcare and visits stayed in order, their schoolwork in line, and performed at high levels. And SO much more. Boy, could the lady multitask with the best of them. She was highly successful at it all too! Well Done Ursula! Some of Ursula’s hobbies and things we loved most about her included these below. These personality traits made us all love and appreciate her even more and made her uniquely special. Ursula loved Menudo, the infamous boy band from Puerto Rico. Superstar pop singer Ricky Martin was her want-to-be husband and she finally got to see his concert a few months ago in New York and brought her daughter. Jimmy remained thankful that Ricky was homosexual or he would have never secured Ursula's hand in marriage, Ricky would have. Ursula loved to dance and loved her music. She connected a song to an event or memory and they each had meaning to her and a special connection to the people in the r life past and present. Ursula loved her mini-mi Lilly Bell, a maltase furry beauty. They wore matching pajamas, had coffee together, took daily strolls through the neighborhood. Lilly was her baby girl and bestie. As a little girl, her mother reminds us how Ursula loved baby dolls and as a woman, she loved putting wigs on and having fun and laughs with them. Ursula loved her TV shows and Netflix/Streaming series (binge-watching) Romantic books and movies like Twilight, Fifty Shades of Grey, and After were amongst her favorite. She also welcomed loved her hubby to romance her and to make her feel beautiful and loved too - yes it's. A Love story in itself. She loved to council and give advice to the kids and just anyone in her circle, it usually happened in her bed, her sanctuary her office her coffee station, and safe place - her Paradise. One of Ursula's main circles of lifelong friends began in high school, enduring many parties, boy talks, and many trips to the Cherry Grove/ Myrtle Beach area. Together - the CHC was born. Yes, they titled themselves the Cherry Grove Chicks. Kara Bale, Elizabeth Clarke Foster, and Amy Jacobs Ray are amongst the core group and they each have some priceless memories together. They also have some beautiful dirty little stories they can share with you when you talk with them next (lol). Those memories shall live on - - CHC Forever!
