Valarie L. Ervin

COLUMBIA - A Celebration of Life for Valarie L. Ervin, 61, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2025 at Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church, 11121 Monticello Road, Winnsboro, SC, with burial in the church cemetery.

Valarie died Saturday, June 14, 2025. Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Lonnie James Gatson and Cora Lee Geter Gatson. She graduated from Eau Claire High School and was employed by BlueCross BlueShield. Valarie was a devoted member of Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church. She will be fondly remembered for her great sense of humor.

Surviving are her husband, Jeff Ervin; her children, Myrone Dreher, Niesha Dreher, and Quan Gatson; grandchildren, Akayla Gatson, Akyah Gatson, Quan Gatson Jr., Qualan Gatson, Kaison Dreher, Myron Dreher Jr., DeMari Dreher, Zamauria Dreher, and Donald Smith Jr; sisters, Lee Verner Mitchell, Denise LaTronja Jones (Tavares); brother, Timothy J. Gatson; and nieces and nephews, Travon Greggs, Telu Belton, Sierra Tilman, Tavia Trapp, Derrick Gatson, Dericka Gatson, Sudiamond Douglas and Sutroija Crowder; and a host of other family and friends.
